Around the World with 12 Easy Pieces: Cello

This (personally) huge project that has taken two long years and a lot of collaboration with wonderful colleagues and friends has finally come to an end (for the most part)!

I'm truly grateful for all those who helped me on this journey - your contributions have been invaluable and have shaped these compositions for the better.

This project was birthed from a desire to write some more engaging pieces for my young cello students who were struggling with their early level pieces. While their pieces were nice and easy-going, they seemed a bit lacking in musical interest. So I made an attempt to compose something easy but fun at the same time, while also engaging for the accompanist, and taking inspiration from different musical styles around the world.

Many of the pieces demand a higher level of musical understanding and coordination with the accompanist. As a result, I have recorded performances of all pieces which are meant to serve as a reference for students as they study the pieces.
