Around the World with 12 Easy Pieces: Viola
One of my biggest projects thus far, written originally for cello, now transcribed to viola!
Certain passages may feel a little less intuitive to play on the viola since they were written with cello fingerings in mind, but this can be worked around by adopting a slightly different finger position.

This project was birthed from a desire to write some more engaging pieces for my young cello students who were struggling with their early level pieces. While their pieces were nice and easy-going, they seemed a bit lacking in musical interest. So I made an attempt to compose something easy but fun at the same time, while also engaging for the accompanist, and taking inspiration from different musical styles around the world.

Many of the pieces demand a higher level of musical understanding and coordination with the accompanist. As a result, I have recorded performances of all pieces which are meant to serve as a reference for students as they study the pieces.
